The "I Love U Guys" Foundation was created to restore and protect the joy of youth through educational programs and positive actions in collaboration with families, schools, communities, organizations and government entities.All of our online materials are available at no charge to students, K-12 public schools, districts, departments and agencies. This commitment has been made possible through individual donations and private sector support. It's tremendous if you can help with funding, but if not, there are other ways you can make a difference.
Items That Would Be Beneficial
Advocacy is a road show. Right now John-Michael is driving 1994 Toyota van. If you have a serviceable vehicle that you aren't using anymore, please consider donating it. It doesn't need to be fancy, but tidy in appearance is a must. A small wagon or hatchback is preferred (Sometimes we need to carry gear). All wheel or 4-wheel drive would be great. Bailey sometimes gets snow. If it's a loaner we can cap the mileage, or anticipate 8,000 to 10,000 miles.We are finding ourselves doing more and more video work. A pro or semi-pro HD video camera, tripod, lights and shotgun microphone would really help us get more done.
Volunteer Opportunities
Advisory Board - We're strengthening our Advisory Board to assist with the Foundation's growth. The intent is to gather folks with expertise, contacts or experience in growing a national organization. Some of the skill sets we seek include general business, fundraising, marketing, public relations, finance, project management, and operations. People in risk management or law enforcement - or who have contacts in these areas, are also welcome. We think this arm should include people who have contacts or experience with issues facing kids today and how we can address them.This is a working board and carries a time commitment. Videographer - We are looking at additional video content and need a videographer with camera. We're estimating a time commitment of 8-16 hours to do the shoots. We also need to capture some of the Foundation's presentations. Figure 2 hours for that. Additional time to move from DV Camera to disk. We use Final Cut Express for our video production.
Teen Advisory Board Coordinator - Our goal is to get a great teen advisory board assembled. We have lots of kids in our world, but need help defining the rules and getting this group together.
Make an Introduction
If you represent a school, emergency service, or community and would like to have the Foundation present in your district, department or agency, please let us know and we can get you on the schedule.We would love to talk to groups, organizations or companies than can help fund the Foundation's program development and ongoing advocacy. If your company, club, homeowner's association or group would like to find out more, please let us know.
