The Training

The “I Love U Guys” Foundation has built a reputation of training excellence. Accessible to a wide range of stakeholders, the Foundation’s training programs are continuously updated, grounded in real-world applications, and developed in collaboration with hands-on practitioners.

It was a tragedy that launched The Foundation. It's love that keeps us going. And we thrive because we know that with love, we can work together to protect and restore the joy of youth. We’re doing it. Join us. With you, we got this.

Training
I realize how unprepared we have been… now we have the tools, the resources, and a plan.
Samuel Olsen, Security Monitor, Alamosa High School.

The Briefings

The Briefings are nationally-recognized school and community safety symposiums that explore timely topics in school and community safety, as well as training on the Standard Response Protocol and Standard Reunification Method. While the Briefings’ historical roots are in Colorado, we’ve branched out with regional Briefings around the country.

Every Day

Right now kids, teens and adults are being trained in the Standard Response Protocol or the Standard Reunification Method.

Every Way

Programs and training evolve every way through collaboration, research, evaluation and heart.

Everyone

Even if an organization doesn’t adopts our programs, if we ignited a conversation that's a mission win.

Everywhere

For us, being a catalyst is the real end game. Together, we can change the culture through meaningful conversations and clear action.

A Voice

Emily gave us a voice. And from the classroom she told us what to say. "I love you guys."

Proven Programs for School and Community Safety

Developed hand-in-hand with school administrators, psychologists, public space safety experts, families, and first responders, our programs are both research and experience-based.

They are used in more than 45,000 schools, districts, departments, agencies, organizations, and municipalities around the world and are available at no cost. Not even an email address.

The Standard Response Protocol

The Standard Response Protocol (SRP) provides consistent, clear, shared language and actions among all students, staff and first responders for all hazards. It is action based, and allows organizations, first responders, students, and parents to share a specific vocabulary for quick and coordinated action. It also acts as a tool for training which develops the muscle memory necessary to respond appropriately in moments of crisis.

The SRP is based on five actions: Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter.

The Standard Reunification Method

Reunifying students with parents or guardians is a critical component of emergency response, but one that is often overlooked. The Standard Reunification Method (SRM) provides school and district safety teams with proven methods to plan, practice, and achieve a successful reunification amid what can be chaotic and stressful circumstances.

SRM - Reunification Exercise

The Standard Reunification Method - Reunification Exercise (SRM-REx) brings our team to your community to work with all of the stakeholders and conduct an actual reunification exercise. The two-day program includes classroom training, tabletop exercises, and functional demonstrations and exercises designed to give you the skills and confidence to successfully reunify families following an emergency.

Delivered by people who’ve been there, an “I Love U Guys” Foundation training is a special blend of emotional heart and tactical takeaways. Our trainers’ stories from inside and behind school crises illustrate the importance of planning and preparing, while our easy-to-learn protocols and methods show you how.

Today, we also have Remote Delivery for most of our training options. Fewer hugs, same effectiveness.

The "I Love U Guys" Foundation offers training to schools, districts, departments, agencies and organizations. While there is enough material on the website to implement the programs, Foundation training may add a bit more. Please contact us for rates and availability.

In-Person Delivery... Hold on for a unique, maybe life-changing, learning experience.

We hear it all of the time. Our training is unique. Presentation visuals, media, and cadence based on real "Brain Science" and multi-media learning theory, not death by PowerPoint. Well versed instructors who are "Practitioners" in the field. A combination of "Just the facts", Bloom's Taxonomy, and storytelling, leveraging one of the most powerful learning tools humans have ever developed.

Sure, there are some frank, real-world conversations. And if our audience is all adults, there will be some "Adulting" moments. But don't be surprised if not just a chuckle, but a belly laugh, happen over the course of the presentation.

While we see it in many of our seminars and workshops, our exercises especially foster a unique outcome... Teams. Multi-disciplinary, cross-jurisdictional, institutionally sustainable, teams. It's not an accident. We use proven techniques, not awkward charades, to create an experiencial success in working with folks that may have been strangers that morning.

Remote Delivery... Zoomio or Studio

March of 2020 gave us an opportunity to reimagine our training delivery models. By April of that year we stood up our first Remote Broadcast Studio. Today our broadcast studios feature WireCast Production Software, Blackmagic Design 4K Studio Cameras, Panasonic Lenses, 56K balanced lighting rigs, and ATEM Switchers. And, we offer two remote delivery options with both a Presenter and a Producer live-casting. During every Remote Delivery we make time for a group Q&A and we offer access to recording after the presentation is done.

Enhanced Broadcast Zoom

While this is the closest thing we offer to a "Traditional" Zoom presentation, there are some production quality commitments that enhance the learning experience.

High Definition Studio

"It felt like you were in the room." Achieving broadcast quality takes a commitment. The payout is well worth the cost.

4 Timezones. 5 Studios.

The Briefings

Symposium: a gathering of experts who come together to share their work related to a specific topic.

The Briefings

Join us in Burlington, MA on November 2nd and 3rd for our first regional Briefings! In the past, we’ve had the honor of traveling the country to train the Standard Response Protocol and the Standard Reunification Method, and now we’re bringing this training to our first ever Regional Briefings Symposium.

Early this year we decided to take this on the road, and mentioned it to the some of the wonderful folks we’ve met across the country. Then something cool happened. They offered a venue in their town! We’re so excited to host the first regional Briefings in New England thanks to our friend, Glen Mills, and the Burlington Police Department.

The Briefings are an amazing opportunity to meet and connect with individuals who work in schools, districts, departments, agencies, and organizations across the country. Participants come away from the Briefings with actionable insights and takeaways from The “I Love U Guys” Foundation speakers, and have a chance to build strong connections to help accomplish them.

We will explore timely topics such as being prepared for small or large incidents, lessons learned from prior incidents, recovery after a crisis, as well as training on the Standard Response Protocol and Standard Reunification Method.

This is a “must have” two days of learning, so please join us!

That was some of the most impactful, relevant and well-produced material I have been witness to. The flow was smooth, the breaks were adequate and the speakers were outstanding.
